Talland Bay Hotel Cornwall May 2026 2nd Visit

It was our 48th Wedding Anniversary on 20th May 2026 and we decided to go back to the very quirky Talland Bay Hotel just outside of Looe Cornwall. We do not normally go back to stay in a hotel twice but we had such an enjoyable stay in the Talland Bay Hotel Cornwall in 2025 (press link to see the photos of the main rooms in the hotel as I won’t be duplicating them in this post) we decided to return and celebrate (or commiserate on Steve’ s behalf putting up with me for that length of time).

Horn of Plenty Easter Break 2026

We have been to the Horn of Plenty, a luxury country house hotel in the heart of Devon on many occasions, the last time being to celebrate New Year’s Eve in December 2025 to see in the new year of 2026.

We decided to go back again in April 2026 for a 2 night dinner bed and breakfast easter break, which included an archery lesson on the lawn. Please read on to see how we did.

New Year’s Eve 2025 Horn of Plenty Tavistock Devon

As we enjoyed New Year’s Eve 2024 at the Horn of Plenty (Tavistock, Devon) a 4 star Country House Hotel, we decided to book again for this year (2025).  We did leave it a bit late so there were only a couple of rooms left (one being a best room in the main house (no 3) which we plumped for.  Last year we only stayed the one night on New Year’s Eve, but this year they were offering an all inclusive 2 or 3 night stay.  We opted for the 2 night stay for the 30th and the 31st December.

Plantation House Hotel Ermington Devon 2025 20th May 2025

To celebrate our 47th wedding anniversary we decided to have an overnight stay and a nice meal at a hotel. About 3 miles away from where we live in Ivybridge in a little village called Ermington is a small hotel called Plantation House which although we have passed it on a number of occasions have never been inside. Talland Bay Hotel Cornwall Short Break 2025

25th March 2025.  Steve (hubby) and I decided on the spur of the moment to have a couple of nights away in a nice hotel and not too far away from where we live. We came across the Talland Bay Hotel near Looe in Cornwall which looked very nice. They were also offering a package called the Boujee Foodie Spring Break which consisted of  2 nights luxurious accommodation, £60 per person dinner allowance each evening, Talland Bay No1 Gin & Tonic on arrival, delicious full Cornish breakfast each morning and tickets to the Lost Gardens of Heligan.
