I have been a bit lackadaisical (that’s a good word!!) in updating Archie’s blog, so as he celebrated his 7th Birthday on the 2nd April 2024, I thought it was about time I put that right.

Now Archie knows the song “Happy Birthday” and gets very excited as no matter who’s birthday it is, he knows there is going to be cards and presents. So when we woke up on his day and we sang “Happy Birthday” (I know sad!!) to him he started looking for pressies and couldn’t wait to get downstairs. Mawgan Porth Holiday 2023 with Clumberdoodle Archie

Mawgan Porth Holiday 2023 with Clumberdoodle Archie. Another year and another week down at Archie’s favourite location, The Park at Mawgan Porth ( I have lost count how many times we have returned). We booked Lowenek which is our favourite accommodation amongst the many different types and sizes of accommodation that The Park has to offer. We return here as Archie loves the quick walk down to Mawgan Porth beach, the dog friendly accommodation is ideal, the onsite restaurant The Kitchen is very good either to eat in or they offer a takeaway service which is the same menu as if you ate there, to take back to your accommodation. Also it only takes about an hour and a half to get there.

There is also the Merrymoor Inn right down on the beach, again just a short walk away and then The Falcon Inn at St Mawgan which you can walk to from The Park.

As I said above, we have had enjoyed many previous holidays at The Park, so I will not repeat similar photos that have already appeared in previous blogs, so please take a look at these. Mawgan Porth Cornwall Holiday 2022

Where would we go for our holiday this year? Well as it is Archie’s favourite place we decided to book another week down at The Park in Mawgan Porth Cornwall. As I have said in previous blogs we never go back to the same place twice and we have holidayed in many different Countries but something seems to draw us back to this place. Probably Archie (our Clumberdoodle dog). He loves it down there and I have to say it is so dog friendly and we have looked at various other dog friendly places to stay but keep coming back here. The Park Mawgan Porth with Clumberdoodle Archie 2021

Friday 7th May 2021
This was the start of our 2nd week’s holiday, the first being in Dorset (read about that here Steamer Point Lodge with Clumberdoodle Archie 2021).

We had breakfast and finished the packing and loaded the car and said farewell to Steamer Point Lodge. We had thoroughly enjoyed our week there (even though the weather could have been better) in this amazing location and will certainly miss the peace and quiet with just the bird song and the waves breaking on the shore. Archie will definitely miss the miles and miles of beach walks.

Steamer Point Lodge with Clumberdoodle Archie 2021. During Covid 19 and not knowing what was going to happen we went ahead and booked a 2 weeks dog friendly holiday back in September 2020, with fingers crossed that we would be able to go on our staycation.
