Les Miserables Film My Review

Les Miserables Film My Review
Steve & I decided to go and see the Les Miserables Film on Monday 7th January 2013.  We have seen the stage productions in London and when it came down to Plymouth many years ago, and have seen the DVD's of the anniversaries etc and absolutely love it.  We both love musicals and have seen stage productions of many of them,  but Les Miserables is by far and away our all time favourite.  [Read more...]

Alessi Cutlery Purchased From Tesco Corrodes Like Rust

tesco cutlery promotion leafletI do the majority of my food shopping at my local Tesco Store and at various times they have different promotions on, where if you spend so much money you get vouchers for money off items at greatly reduced prices.  Recently Tesco had a promotion on for Alessi Cutlery, entitling you to 85% off this particlar  that I had for many many years  had now become a little stained, I saw this promotion and as I had done some research on the particlar make of cutlery and had a good look at it in the store and it seemed to be of a high quality and decided that this appeared to be an offer I couldn't resist.   You could purchase different sets of this cutlery but I needed the 4 piece table sets, which consisted of a dinner knife, a dinner fork, a dessert spoon and a teaspon in each set.   For each set of cutlery you needed 5 coupons and then had to pay the reduced price of £4.99 for each set, making a saving of £30.00.  I collected enough coupons to get 12 sets over the next few weeks, and once I had collected them all, I got rid of all my old cutlery.  I started to use this new cutlery and first impressions I was very pleased, as it appeared good robust cutlery that should last  a good many years. The Actual Torch Although A Little Blurred

Olympic Torch on Plymouth Hoe 19/5/2012As it is a once in a lifetime experience, Steve and I were planning to go and see the torch pass through our nearby towns of Brixton, Yealmpton or Modbury on the Sunday 20/5/2012, but decided at the last minute to go up on Plymouth Hoe for the first location for one of the evening celebrations.  We decided to go in on the Park and Ride from Plympton, into the City Centre and then walk the short distance up to the World famous spectacular Plymouth Hoe, which overlooks Plymouth Sound. The iconic structure Smeaton's Tower lighthouse was lit up for this very special occasion. [Read more...]

Dog Video

This is a sweet little video of two dogs having a romantic meal for two.  It is a bit of The Lady and Tramp scenario, as one dog is a rather scruffy cross breed (although very handsome) and the other one perfectly turned out King Charles Spaniel  (obviously the lady!!).  They are sitting around a table for two, complete with candle where they share a romantic meal.  The dinner plate consists of what looks spaghetti with some sort of meat balls, and during the meal they are captured sharing a string of spaghetti, with one at each end.  There is  romantic Italian music playing in the background whilst they enjoy their meal and they end up with a little kiss and the last shot is where they are gazing into each others eyes, with the "Lady" having a little twinkle in hers - very sweet.
