On Tuesday 10th May 2016 donkey sanctuary volunteers throughout the Country were invited to a day out at the Sidmouth Headquarters as a way of saying “thank you” to all the volunteers who give up their time to help in lots of different ways for this wonderful charity.

French Holiday 2016 Dinan & Cote d’Amour Pink Granite Coast

French Holiday 2016 Dinan & Cote d’Amour Pink Granite Coast:

We decided to head back to France again in 2016 and booked a holiday through Brittany Ferries. We were booked to leave Plymouth on the 19th May on the Pont Aven at 8.45 p.m for the overnight crossing to Roscoff. To start the holiday off with a lovely restaurant meal on board in their Flora Restaurant and then retire to our Commodore Cabin being rocked to sleep to wake up in Roscoff the following morning. However, that did not happen as the Pont Aven developed a propeller problem which meant we had to re-arrange an alternative crossing. Brittany Ferries laid on an additional earlier crossing on the Thursday leaving Plymouth at 2.00 p.m and arriving in Roscoff at 8.30 p.m. on the Armorique. This actually worked out very well, as we had an extra night in France, paid for from the refund we received from Brittany Ferries due to our original crossing being cancelled. Clear Labelling Needed On How Supermarket Milk Is Produced

Myself and no doubt most of us might think that the milk we buy comes from cows that are grass fed, out in fields and coming in twice a day to be milked. WRONG!! After seeing a news article a few months ago, I was actually shocked to see that the majority of our milk is produced by intensively farmed cows (this link was not the actual article but it makes interesting reading) kept inside in cramped conditions in barns and never seeing a green field and not a blade of grass is consumed. Weekend in St Malo France September 2015

I am a volunteer with the Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. I am not a full time socialiser but offer to board puppies whilst their full time socialiser is on holiday.
