Merlin Farm Cottages Mawgan Porth 2024

It is holiday time again and Archie our Clumberdoodle was getting very excited as he sensed we were going somewhere as I started to lay holiday stuff out in our spare bedroom.

And yes we are going back to Archie’s favourite place – Mawgan Porth in Cornwall. However as you will have seen from my previous blog posts we have been to Mawgan Porth for a number of years and have always stayed at The Park. However this year we are trying somewhere new and have booked a week at Merlin Farm Cottages which are eco friendly powered by solar, under floor heating and where they offer free electric car charging, which is a big plus factor when choosing a holiday as Steve drives an electric car. I have been a bit lackadaisical (that’s a good word!!) in updating Archie’s blog, so as he celebrated his 7th Birthday on the 2nd April 2024, I thought it was about time I put that right.

Now Archie knows the song “Happy Birthday” and gets very excited as no matter who’s birthday it is, he knows there is going to be cards and presents. Mawgan Porth Holiday 2023 with Clumberdoodle Archie. Another year and another week down at Archie’s favourite location, The Park at Mawgan Porth ( I have lost count how many times we have returned). We booked Lowenek which is our favourite accommodation amongst the many different types and sizes of accommodation that The Park has to offer. We return here as Archie loves the quick walk down to Mawgan Porth beach, the dog friendly accommodation is ideal, the onsite restaurant The Kitchen is very good either to eat in or they offer a takeaway service which is the same menu as if you ate there, to take back to your accommodation. Also it only takes about an hour and a half to get there.

There is also the Merrymoor Inn right down on the beach, again just a short walk away and then The Falcon Inn at St Mawgan which you can walk to from The Park.

As I said above, we have had enjoyed many previous holidays at The Park, so I will not repeat similar photos that have already appeared in previous blogs, so please take a look at these. Mawgan Porth Cornwall Holiday 2022

Where would we go for our holiday this year? Well as it is Archie’s favourite place we decided to book another week down at The Park in Mawgan Porth Cornwall. As I have said in previous blogs we never go back to the same place twice and we have holidayed in many different Countries but something seems to draw us back to this place. Probably Archie (our Clumberdoodle dog). He loves it down there and I have to say it is so dog friendly and we have looked at various other dog friendly places to stay but keep coming back here. The lady who delivers Archie’s Nutriment Raw Dog Food and who is a rep for this Company has added another service that she offers. She is now a qualified tattooist for the National Dog Tattoo Register covering Devon & Cornwall and she has asked me to do a post on my blog.
