It was an awful 2024 for us as we lost our dear beloved dog Archie very suddenly and totally unexpected at the age of just 7 and a half years in October. Of all the posts I have written for my blog this is the hardest one of all to have to write. For all of you who have been following Archie and his antics from the day we brought home as a 9 week old puppy to the present date October 9th 2024. These have included his progress from a bouncy naughty puppy, his birthdays, Christmases (he loved opening presents – including ours) and all of the many happy holidays we went on, but there will be no more. Duke’s Bath House Beaulieu
Our 2nd holiday of 2024 and we are off to Hampshire staying in what looks like a beautiful dog friendly historic cottage called the Duke’s Bath House, which sits on the banks of the Beaulieu River. Below is the historic information that is on a notice board on the public path outside the actual cottage so anyone passing can read.
Vospers Fiat Service Failure
I have had Fabio (Fiat All Battery Irresistible One) my Fiat 500e since 2021. My husband has had an electric car for many years and he tried to convert me to going electric. However the only electric car I would consider was a Fiat 500, as I had previously owned 3 petrol Fiat 500’s and loved them, but as the electric version was only manufactured for sale in England in 2021 I had to wait.
So in 2021 Fabio was born to my specifications. A La Prima in Celestial Blue with an added extra of an opening sunroof. We bonded immediately and I love him to bits and he has behaved himself causing me no problems until April 2024. [Read more…] about Vospers Fiat Service Failure
Merlin Farm Cottages Mawgan Porth 2024
It is holiday time again and Archie our Clumberdoodle was getting very excited as he sensed we were going somewhere as I started to lay holiday stuff out in our spare bedroom.
And yes we are going back to Archie’s favourite place – Mawgan Porth in Cornwall. However as you will have seen from my previous blog posts we have been to Mawgan Porth for a number of years and have always stayed at The Park. However this year we are trying somewhere new and have booked a week at Merlin Farm Cottages which are eco friendly powered by solar, under floor heating and where they offer free electric car charging, which is a big plus factor when choosing a holiday as Steve drives an electric car.
