Les Miserables Film My Review
Steve & I decided to go and see the Les Miserables Film on Monday 7th January 2013. We have seen the stage productions in London and when it came down to Plymouth many years ago, and have seen the DVD’s of the anniversaries etc and absolutely love it. We both love musicals and have seen stage productions of many of them, but Les Miserables is by far and away our all time favourite. [Read more…] about Les Miserables Film My Review
Artillery Tower Restaurant Plymouth

Artillery Tower Restaurant Plymouth
It was my birthday in December and Steve took me to The Artillery Tower in Plymouth to celebrate. We have been here a few times before although the last time was a few years ago and were hoping that the quality of food and service would still be of the high standard. This is a unique, historical and intimate restaurant, which provides a lovely ambiance. [Read more…] about Artillery Tower Restaurant Plymouth
Alessi Cutlery Purchased From Tesco Corrodes Like Rust
Alessi Cutlery Purchased From Tesco Corrodes Like Rust
I do the majority of my food shopping at my local Tesco Store and at various times they have different promotions on, where if you spend so much money you get vouchers for money off items at greatly reduced prices.
Recently Tesco had a promotion on for Alessi Cutlery, entitling you to 85% off this particular range. I had some cutlery that that I had for many many years but this had now become a little stained. I saw this promotion and as I had done some research on the particular make of cutlery and had a good look at it in the store and it seemed to be of a high quality and decided that this appeared to be an offer I couldn’t resist.
You could purchase different sets of this cutlery but I needed the 4 piece table sets, which consisted of a dinner knife, a dinner fork, a dessert spoon and a teaspoon in each set. For each set of cutlery you needed 5 coupons and then had to pay the reduced price of £4.99 for each set, making a saving of £30.00. I collected enough coupons to get 12 sets over the next few weeks, and once I had collected them all, I got rid of all my old cutlery. I started to use this new cutlery and first impressions I was very pleased, as it appeared good robust cutlery that should last a good many years. Donkey Race Night (With Horse Videos)
The hard working Ivybridge Donkey Centre (Donkey Assisted Therapy) PFA (Parents and Friends Association) fund raisers and Donkey Centre Staff organised a Race Night which took place at the Centre on Saturday 6th October 2012. If you have never been to one, they are great fun and everyone can take part. I would like to assure you that no donkeys took part (as you will probably know, that to get a donkey to actually run is almost impossible!). [Read more…] about Donkey Race Night (With Horse Videos)

Chocolate and Paddy Join The Ivybridge EST Centre
The Donkey Sanctuary (DAT) Ivybridge has two young donkeys Chocolate and Paddy, who have come to join us to replace some our donkeys who have had to go back to Sidmouth due to ill health. They originally came from Ireland but are now happy down here in Devon. Both are just under 4 years old and as they have not been handled very much, there is a lot of training to be done to get them all ready for the special needs children to ride.
