Clumberdoodle Archie’s Favourite Ivybridge Walks

We are so lucky living where we do down here in glorious Ivybridge in Devon that Archie our Clumberdoodle has some beautiful walks that we enjoy from our house. Therefore during lockdown we have been able to continue walking around this lovely area without the need to get into a car. I thought I would share some photos and videos of Archie enjoying his local environment at different times of the year. [Read more…] about Clumberdoodle Archie’s Favourite Ivybridge Walks

Muddy Dog Needs A Mud Daddy

12/01/2021 By Karen 2 Comments

Archie the Clumberdoodle Needs the Mud DaddyMuddy Dog Needs A Mud Daddy.  Archie the Clumberdoodle definitely becomes a muddy dog out on his walks and needs a Mud Daddy to help with the cleaning when he comes home.  Archie is definitely a mud magnet due to his thick fur but any dog owner should have one of these.

Even in the height of summer Archie manages to find some of mud and I am sure even in the desert he would stumble across some mud somewhere (really I am not joking).  Now he hates the hosepipe and there is no way we can get him anywhere near one so after nearly every walk it was a sponge and bucket to wash the mud off.

Enter Mud Daddy a fantastic portable washing device that is environmentally friendly as it uses no power or electric.  As stated above Archie hates the hosepipe so we were not sure if he would be okay with a Mud Daddy, but after some gentle persuasion he was absolutely fine. To Castrate or not to Castrate a Dog Who DecidesTo Castrate or not to Castrate a Dog Who Decides??

When Archie our Clumberdoodle was a puppy, I really wanted him castrated, but my husband Steve was dead against it.  However when Archie had his yearly inoculations we had a discussion with the Vet regarding castration and he said that it was an unnecessary operation and would recommend it only being done if we were having problems with Archie. Humorous Dog Pattern Face Masks

Humorous Dog Pattern Face MasksAre you fed up with wearing the plain boring clinical looking face masks during this Coronavirus pandemic?  Wear them once then dispose of them, with many being just thrown away in hedges and paths etc?  Well stand out from the crowd and bring some humour during this dismal time by purchasing like I have some Humorous Dog Pattern Face Masks.  Instead of dogs looking like their owners, how about owners looking like their dogs?  If you are a dog lover like me, how could you resist?

Mawgan Porth Holiday 2020 with Clumberdoodle ArchieMawgan Porth Holiday 2020 with Clumberdoodle Archie

We had enjoyed a lovely holiday in 2019 staying at The Park in Mawgan Porth in Cornwall so much that we decided to go back again in 2020 (we must have enjoyed it, as we never go back to the same place).  Although our holidays are a bit different since Archie came into our lives, as they have to have to be dog friendly, and as he loved it the first time, we went again.

My husband Steve is really into green energy, solar power and electric vehicles. The benefit to me is the reduced household energy bills as a result of his obsession. One thing I know he is pleased with in particular is Octopus Energy. As well as great customer service and some really good tariffs they also have a referral scheme where new customers get £50 when switching from their existing energy supplier. Its free to get a quote to see if you can save money too. Just click the link below.
