Myself and no doubt most of us might think that the milk we buy comes from cows that are grass fed, out in fields and coming in twice a day to be milked. WRONG!! After seeing a news article a few months ago, I was actually shocked to see that the majority of our milk is produced by intensively farmed cows (this link was not the actual article but it makes interesting reading) kept inside in cramped conditions in barns and never seeing a green field and not a blade of grass is consumed. Riverbank Bistro And Café Ivybridge Devon
As you will have read in previous blog posts, I live in Ivybridge in the beautiful South Hams area of Devon. Ivybridge is known as the “Gateway to South Dartmoor” and the actual village (locals refer to it as a village) has some super independent shops and also a lovely café/restaurant which is situated on the banks of the River Erme called the “Riverbank Bistro & Café” [Read more…] about Riverbank Bistro And Café Ivybridge Devon
Wicked Musical Theatre Royal Plymouth
I do like going to the Theatre on the odd occasion (as it is rather expensive), and although initially I did not book to see it, friends who had seen “Wicked” at the Theatre Royal in Plymouth, said if I got the chance to see it, to try and get a ticket. I had also read rave reviews about this production so decided that this was a show I should try and get to see it. After all the hype I was really looking forward to it. [Read more…] about Wicked Musical Theatre Royal Plymouth
Paddington Film My Personal Review
I know that I am probably a bit late to post a review on the above film, as it has been going for quite a while, but I have only just seen it myself and just had to comment on it.
I have to say that this is just a delightful and charming film and suitable for any age, which describes how the loveable Paddington bear gets to arrive in London to find a new home and the events that take place whilst he is making himself at home. The computer graphics of the actual bear are absolutely brilliant, and I defy anyone who doesn’t concur with me that it is hard to think that he is not real!!!! sad but true but he really is adoreable. Sea Of Poppies At The Tower Of London

My husband, Steve and I thought about going to see the “Sea of Poppies” for quite a while, but when a coach trip was advertised in our local paper we decided to book it, even though a coach trip was not something we relished, but thought it was the only way that we would actually get to London to see this from our home in Devon. It also took in a trip to the Imperial War Museum, which Steve was also looking forward to seeing (although we had been there many years ago) but he was interested in seeing the World War I exhibition.
