I do like going to the Theatre on the odd occasion (as it is rather expensive), and although initially I did not book to see it, friends who had seen “Wicked” at the Theatre Royal in Plymouth, said if I got the chance to see it, to try and get a ticket. I had also read rave reviews about this production so decided that this was a show I should try and get to see it. I went onto the Theatre’s website a couple of weeks ago and managed to find two seats together in the back row of the stalls for the 11th February 2015. After all the hype I was really looking forward to it. [Read more…] about Wicked Musical Theatre Royal Plymouth

Paddington Film My Personal Review
I know that I am probably a bit late to post a review on the above film, as it has been going for quite a while, but I have only just seen it myself and just had to comment on it.
I have to say that this is just a delightful and charming film and suitable for any age, which describes how the loveable Paddington bear gets to arrive in London to find a new home and the events that take place whilst he is making himself at home. The computer graphics of the actual bear are absolutely brilliant, and I defy anyone who doesn’t concur with me that it is hard to think that he is not real!!!! sad but true but he really is adoreable. Sea Of Poppies At The Tower Of London

My husband, Steve and I thought about going to see the “Sea of Poppies” for quite a while, but when a coach trip was advertised in our local paper we decided to book it, even though a coach trip was not something we relished, but thought it was the only way that we would actually get to London to see this from our home in Devon. It also took in a trip to the Imperial War Museum, which Steve was also looking forward to seeing (although we had been there many years ago) but he was interested in seeing the World War I exhibition.
Dartmouth Boat Trip And Picnic Aboard Blue Marlin III
Dartmouth Boat Trip And Picnic Aboard Blue Marlin III
My husband Steve, has half shares on a little day fishing/cruiser boat, with his brother Mike. It is moored on the beautiful River Dart in Dartmouth down here in Devon. Steve and Mike try to go out fishing in the boat “Blue Marlin III” once a week, and I use the word “fishing” loosely as they never seem to catch anything!!! Anyway, occasionally I am taken out for a picnic on the boat, where no fishing takes place. On the 6th May 2013, the bank holiday Monday, it was a beautiful day here in Ivybridge, so we decided that today would be a good day to take for us to take the boat out. Les Miserables Film My Review
Les Miserables Film My Review
Steve & I decided to go and see the Les Miserables Film on Monday 7th January 2013. We have seen the stage productions in London and when it came down to Plymouth many years ago, and have seen the DVD’s of the anniversaries etc and absolutely love it. We both love musicals and have seen stage productions of many of them, but Les Miserables is by far and away our all time favourite. [Read more…] about Les Miserables Film My Review
Alessi Cutlery Purchased From Tesco Corrodes Like Rust
Alessi Cutlery Purchased From Tesco Corrodes Like Rust
I do the majority of my food shopping at my local Tesco Store and at various times they have different promotions on, where if you spend so much money you get vouchers for money off items at greatly reduced prices.
Recently Tesco had a promotion on for Alessi Cutlery, entitling you to 85% off this particular range. I had some cutlery that that I had for many many years but this had now become a little stained. I saw this promotion and as I had done some research on the particular make of cutlery and had a good look at it in the store and it seemed to be of a high quality and decided that this appeared to be an offer I couldn’t resist.
You could purchase different sets of this cutlery but I needed the 4 piece table sets, which consisted of a dinner knife, a dinner fork, a dessert spoon and a teaspoon in each set. For each set of cutlery you needed 5 coupons and then had to pay the reduced price of £4.99 for each set, making a saving of £30.00. I collected enough coupons to get 12 sets over the next few weeks, and once I had collected them all, I got rid of all my old cutlery. I started to use this new cutlery and first impressions I was very pleased, as it appeared good robust cutlery that should last a good many years. Diamond Jubilee Street Party New Meadow Ivybridge Devon

Our street “New Meadow” had a street party on Sunday Monday 4th June 2012 to celebrate our Queen Elizabeth II’s 60 years on the throne. Bunting was in abundance not only strung across the street, but also individual houses were decked out in bunting and flags.
