Now when Rolfe left us, for his potential police life, I felt that as he helped me to lose over a stone and half, just from walking, I need to carry this on. I knew that if no dog was involved the commitment would not be there, and any excuse not to go out, meant that I would never go out, and all the pounds that I had lost would soon pile back on. Problem With Ebay Fee Payment

I recently had a major problem with my payment for my ebay sellers fees. I am a top rated seller on ebay selling quality silver items through my Silver2treasure Ebay Store. There is a fee for every item you list and then when an item sells there is the 10% sellers commission fee. Ebay set a limit of £15.00 in fees and once you exceed this you will not be able to list any further items (but if you sell any at this time, they still take their fees). Now I always pay my fees when they go over this limit (which I have to say is a ridiculous amount for business sellers, as you soon eat into this very quickly). Piper The Labrador Hearing Dog Puppy

Piper The Labrador Hearing Dog Puppy arrived on 22nd February and he was absolutely adorable.

He was extremely well behaved and settled in very quickly.

We had some lovely walks with him and he loved his walks on Dartmoor which is walking distance from our house. There is also a lovely wooded walk by the River Erme in Ivybridge and as Piper loved any sort of water, he had plenty of time in the water.

We took him to our local beach at Mothecombe where again he loved going into the sea and playing in the sand.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People Volunteer

Once I handed back Rolfe (the police dog puppy that I puppy walked) please read the pages relating to this, as I am sure that you will find it very interesting – but get the hankies ready for the end bit!!!). I felt the need for another dog, but did not want to be tied for the next 10 or so years with my own dog.

I saw an advertisement in my local paper for the Hearing Dogs for Deaf People Charity asking for volunteers to be a to be a puppy socialiser. I read all about the charity and seeing it was very similar (although very different) to the police puppy walking scheme, I decided that I would apply, as it was something that I would like to do again.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People

This is a national charity and centre of excellence in training hearing dogs to alert deaf people to everyday household sounds and danger signals in the home, work place and in public buildings.

Hearing Dog Training

The Charity trains hearing dogs to alert deaf people to important household sounds and danger signals such as the alarm clock, doorbell, telephone and smoke alarm – providing independence, confidence and security, as well as valuable companionship.
