EST Ivybridge Donkey Volunteer’s Lunch

The annual EST Ivybridge Branch held its volunteers lunch on the Friday 16th December. It is where the centre’s staff lay on a 3 course Christmas lunch as a way of saying “thank you” to all the volunteers who give up their time during the year to help down at the centre. There are now over 100 volunteers at the moment and without our help the centre would not be able to function.  A member of staff was sat at each table and they  become waiters and waitresses for the day to serve the volunteers with their lunch. How Not To Tease Your Dog

How Not To Tease Your DogHow Not To Tease Your Dog
Here is a great little video where you see a dog owner tease his dog over food. The dog is absolutely gorgeous and I think is a German Shepherd cross.  The voice over has been brilliantly done.  In the beginning the owner talks about food in general to the dog.  He  talks about the contents of his fridge building tension in the dog especially when he mentions maple flavoured bacon, which the dog obviously adores.  He teases him by saying he took it out of the fridge, the dog thinking  it was for him, but was upset to hear that his owner ate it.  [Read more…] about How Not To Tease Your Dog

My husband Steve is really into green energy, solar power and electric vehicles. The benefit to me is the reduced household energy bills as a result of his obsession. One thing I know he is pleased with in particular is Octopus Energy. As well as great customer service and some really good tariffs they also have a referral scheme where new customers get £50 when switching from their existing energy supplier. Its free to get a quote to see if you can save money too. Just click the link below.
