Steve and I decided to take a short break to France on from 5th September 219 – 8th September 2019. A break without our 2 year old dog Archie, which would be a first as over the past 2 years we have taken dog friendly holidays in England. Adrian our Son was going to look after him for the 4 days while we were away.

We booked through Brittany Ferries on the overnight crossing from Plymouth to Roscoff on the Pont-Aven which should have left at 8.45 p.m. However if all is running well there is early boarding and a lovely way to start the holiday is a to have a nice meal on board in the Flora Restaurant, which we were looking forward to. Clumberdoodle Archie’s Family Day Out

A couple of our younger family members were on holiday down in Devon and Archie was invited over to see them. Since we had him they have been his number one fans and every time they come down from their homes in Yorkshire they always want to see him and get very excited.

They really would like a dog of their own (but Mum and Dad not so keen just yet) so thought it might be a good idea to give them insight into what owning and looking after a dog involves, (which might change their minds!!).

Pupdate 24th August 2019 – Clumberdoodle Archie Is Top Dog – Well Crossbreed At 2019 Cornwood Show

The annual Cornwood Agricultural Show is a local show which is held about 2 miles away from where we live in Ivybridge, Devon, that we like to support.

Along with farm animals, trade stands and various displays going on, there is also a family dog show which takes place in one of the rings.

It was due to take place this year on 10th August 2019, but had to be rescheduled due to the very stormy and windy weekend weather that was forecast.

It was rescheduled to the 24th August 2019 (bank holiday weekend) and the weather could not have been different, as it turned out to be a heatwave.

TMS Doggy Bag As Tried By Archie The Clumberdoodle

We went to a Caravan and Motor Home Show which was held at Exeter Racecourse today 27th July 2019, with a view at looking to purchase a caravan or motor home.

Our holidays have now changed since Archie became a member of our family and it is now “doggy holidays” that take priority. We cannot decide whether to go for a motorhome or caravan so going to this show gave us plenty of options to look at. Archie also enjoyed looking around and was quite happy to go into each one to give his verdict.

Mawgan Porth Beach Holiday In Cornwall with Clumberdoodle Archie 2019

We decided this year to book another holiday with Pets Pyjamas (great name and I can really recommend them) and opted for North Cornwall.

It turned out to be a much needed break as it had been a very stressful 12 months with my dear Mum being taken poorly and sadly passing away in March.
