Dog Agility With Archie The ClumberdoodleDog Agility With Archie The Clumberdoodle – Pupdate 5th May 2018

After weeks and weeks of rain and more rain, we got the green light to say that the field had now dried out and the first dog agility of the season would be today.  I decided to take Archie to do agility as he loves to jump over things, climb walls etc and I thought he would love to have a go at this.  Dogs cannot start to do this until they are 12 months old, so as he turned 13 months on the 2nd May, he was able to take part. The Kennel Club runs a Good Citizen Dog Award Scheme aimed at all dogs whether they are Kennel Club Registered or not, so all breeds of dogs whether pedigree or any cross breeds can take part.

Archie goes to obedience training once a week at the Plymouth Dog Training Club and the Club participates in the scheme.

There are 3 levels, the Bronze being the first level and if you pass that you can then take the Silver which is more difficult and if you pass that then the highest level being the Gold.

Clumberdoodle Archie's 2nd Birthday April 2019Archie Turns Two – Clumberdoodle Archie’s 2nd Birthday April 2019

April 2nd 2019 and Archie celebrates his 2nd Birthday and was totally spoilt, but then again aren’t all loved dogs??

After breakfast he opened his presents from us.  Archie has lots of toys but they do not last very long as I have come to the conclusion that manufacturers of dog toys do not actually test them on dogs!!!

Soft dog toys he is  lucky if they last a few days before there is just the body left.  The first thing Archie does is to remove any labels –  he hates labels on anything.  Then if the limbs are soft he will suck them until they are soggy and then he chews them off, so basically he is just left with a body. Party Game Ideas For DogsParty Game Ideas For Dogs: If you are searching for ideas for games to play with your dog and his four legged friends at any future party, here are a few ideas of games Archie the Clumberdoodle took part in at his annual Christmas Doggy Party.

Archie goes to obedience classes (yes really) with the Plymouth Dog Obedience Club and every year the instructors organise a doggy Christmas Party for all their pawpuls!!!    However you would not recognise them as they dress up in fancy dress and as you will see from the videos Archie’s Instructor is the one dressed as a Punk Father Christmas. North Devon Exmoor Break With Clumberdoodle Archie 2018Monday 17th September 2018

We have friends that we have been meaning to visit friends who live in North Devon for a couple of years, but it is quite a trek from us down here in South Devon.  It means about a 4 hour round trip which does not give much time for visiting, so we decided to make a little break and booked a dog friendly holiday cottage.  We used to live in Bideford and Westward Ho! but have not really explored the Exmoor area so to stay for a few days gave the ideal opportunity to do that. My husband Steve is really into green energy, solar power and electric vehicles. The benefit to me is the reduced household energy bills as a result of his obsession. One thing I know he is pleased with in particular is Octopus Energy. As well as great customer service and some really good tariffs they also have a referral scheme where new customers get £50 when switching from their existing energy supplier. Its free to get a quote to see if you can save money too. Just click the link below.
