Henlake Down Fire

19/03/2015 By Karen Leave a Comment

If you have read previous blogs, you will see that I walk a neighbour’s dog Henry twice a week.  Our favourite place for walking is up on Henlake Down which is just behind our house in Ivybridge, Devon.  It is a beautiful and peaceful place, abundant with birds, small wildlife and even deer, which I have had the pleasure and excitement of seeing on a couple of occasions.   I access it by a steep farm track but once up on the open moor it is a lovely place to be and the panoramic views are spectacular, and on a clear day you can even see the sea.   We have been walking up there for years, but in the last couple of weeks the landscape has changed beyond all recognition. Wicked Musical Theatre Royal Plymouth

12/02/2015 By Karen Leave a Comment

Wicked Musical Theatre Royal PlymouthI do like going to the Theatre on the odd occasion (as it is rather expensive), and although initially I did not book to see it, friends who had seen “Wicked” at the Theatre Royal in Plymouth, said if I got the chance to see it, to try and get a ticket.  I had also read rave reviews about this production so decided that this was a show I should try and get to see it.  I went onto the Theatre’s website a couple of weeks ago and managed to find two seats together in the back row of the stalls for  the 11th February 2015.   After all the hype I was really looking forward to it. Paddington Film My Personal Review

31/01/2015 By Karen 1 Comment

Paddington Film My Personal ReviewI know that I am probably a bit late to post a review on the above film, as it has been going for quite a while, but I have only just seen it myself  and just had to comment on it.

I have to say that this is just a delightful and charming film and suitable for any age, which describes how the loveable Paddington bear gets to arrive in London to find a new home and the events that take place whilst he is making himself at home.  The computer graphics of the actual bear are absolutely brilliant, and I defy anyone who doesn’t concur with me that it is hard to think that he is not real!!!!  sad but true but he  really is adoreable. Harvey The Advert Dog Falls in Love

21/01/2015 By Karen Leave a Comment

I have loved all the adverts featuring Harvey the dog and these adverts are better than most televisions programmes.  Harvey and his rabbit was brilliant  but  I have to say the latest one with Harvey falling in love with Harmony the Poodle is definitely the best.  It shows Harvey trying to persuade his owners to let Harmony a white standard poodle move in after Harvey fell for her when he went speed dating.   [Read more…] about Harvey The Advert Dog Falls in Love

My husband Steve is really into green energy, solar power and electric vehicles. The benefit to me is the reduced household energy bills as a result of his obsession. One thing I know he is pleased with in particular is Octopus Energy. As well as great customer service and some really good tariffs they also have a referral scheme where new customers get £50 when switching from their existing energy supplier. Its free to get a quote to see if you can save money too. Just click the link below.
